Laying a wreath at the tomb of King Mohammed V

The Mausoleum of Mohammed V in Rabat, Morocco, contains the tombs of the Moroccan royal family. It was designed by Vietnamese architect Eric Vo Toan. Construction lasted from 1962 to 1971 and involved over 400 craftsmen.

The mausoleum was built in honour of King Mohammed V, one of the most highly respected men in Morocco’s modern history. The Mausoleum of Mohammed V was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2012.
